Happy New Year!
For many, a new year means a fresh start. New Year's resolutions can be as simple as packing your lunch instead of going out, or as large as starting a new business. Whatever goals you set for yourself this year, try to think beyond personal growth to how you might be able to impact the communities and environment around you.
Here are some of our favorite eco friendly resolutions
-Buy locally whenever possible
-Opt for reusable or compostable products
-Refuse one time use disposable plastic
-Discover eco conscious companies near you, and around the world
-Educate others about the importance of working towards a zero waste life
My New Year's resolution is to once again improve my personal waste impact. This past year, I challenged myself to lessen the amount of trash that I produce. For the entire year, I used a 30 gallon bin to dispose of all of our trash. I did okay, but as they say, there is always room for improvement. If you would like to view my final trash audit for the year, head over to our social media accounts.
